U.N.C.L.E Promotion was contracted by Wicked Entertainment to supplement their promotion and marketing efforts through procuring airtime on modern rock radio. 

The goals of the campaign were to build and fortify awareness for Wicked's new releases, web page, brand name, and performers, to persons 18 to 34 years of age who listen to modern rock radio (ex KROQ in Los Angeles). Should there be interest in a more exact demographics and Psychographics , it will be furnished upon request.


To accomplish these goals, on-air promotions were developed and implemented. The promotions were geared to encourage radio participation. Unmistakably, radio's involvement and  the desired audience awareness. 


U.N.C.L.E.'s efforts were focus primarily on the blocks of programming set aside to showcase new music  "specialty shows". Specialty programming has a couple of notable advantages. First, specialty shows have a built in audience, which translates to more active listening, and a great amount of time spent listening. Second, specialty shows are most often programmed autonomously nor are co-dependant on the sales or promotions departments. As a consequence, time buys are almost never requisite and promotion calendar rarely conflict.

At the conclusion of the eight week campaign, Wicked Promotions were executed on 31 national radio stations, 12 of which aired interviews with Jessica Drake. There are three prospective interviews to be completed upon Jessica's recovery.

Being a fly on the wall observing all of the interviews,  I noticed the varying degrees of preparation the interviewers put forth and assorted approaches to best the promotion to fit the vibe of city, station and show.  Invariably, Jessica was well-adjusted, articulate, witty and incorporated copious mentions for Wicked, their Directors, her co-stars, film titles, web sites, and the AVN, without coming across as leading. The job-well-done was confirmed by the participants, calling her demeanor endearing, and fun, and unanimously invited her back. (Dan)

By and large we are satisfied with all the elements of the campaign. The most important thing to take away from this is that it is a viable option, despite the pressures radio are feeling from the FCC.  That said, should there be another opportunity to promote Wicked through these avenues, we would like to suggest, as per our last phone, re-visiting with your team varieties on the idea to the idea fresh, and to explore how else we can impact your buyers. Expect an "ideas" email next week. In the meantime if there are routes you would like us to explore (ex. Feature Dance tours, other radio remotes, online, email/mailing list generation, station event ties et al).  Thank you for this opportunity and look am looking forward to continuing our relationship in the new year.
